About
JOY (Just Our Youth) Making a Difference exists to help families break the generational cycle of poverty by preparing children to succeed in every area of life. We focus on equipping youth ages 10–18 with the knowledge and tools they need to achieve academic success and build strong futures. Our programs emphasize financial literacy, entrepreneurship, AI learning, life skills, and math readiness, ensuring that every child has both the confidence and capability to thrive in a rapidly changing world. By connecting classroom lessons to real-world applications, we empower young people to see themselves as leaders, innovators, and problem solvers who can shape their own futures while strengthening their families and communities.
Since 2015, JOY has been transforming lives across New Jersey by creating opportunities for children and families that go beyond traditional education. What began at Paulsboro High School and Loudenslager Elementary as a small STEM and career exploration program has grown into a movement dedicated to helping youth reach their full potential. Over the years, JOY has expanded its reach, offering programs that prepare students not only to excel academically but also to grow socially, emotionally, and personally.
Through our hands-on approach, JOY encourages young people to explore their talents, discover new interests, and build essential life skills that last well beyond the classroom. From financial literacy workshops to entrepreneurship projects and AI-based learning experiences, we are committed to preparing youth to confidently navigate the challenges of today while preparing for the opportunities of tomorrow.
